Natural Red Hematite is one of the oldest mineral pigments used by mankind. These natural Iron Oxides are known for their durability and are considered a permanent pigment being lightfast, alkali, chemical, and weather resistant.

P400-NR is part of Hoover’s “Best” series of natural reds, being micronized so that Hegman values of 5-6 are achievable with high speed dispersing equipment.

This pigment is a deeper red in color than Hoover’s other natural red pigments, and finds a wide use in applications where an economical red pigment is required. P400-NR is suitable for applications such as paints, rubber, colorants, adhesives, inks, and cement based products.
